Are you ready for the winter series?
ACE your eventing skills with British Eventing
Harry Hall One Club – Anyone Can Event (ACE), is an arena eventing competition suitable for riders of all ages and experience that begins in the autumn and continues throughout the winter, culminating in a championship event at Aintree Equestrian Centre in June.
This series runs throughout the winter months and into spring providing riders with the ideal opportunity to get out, develop their skills and enjoy competing during the shorter daylight hours. A range of height classes are offered from 70cm up to 1m and are available to anyone aged 10 upwards, so that young riders can find out more about the sport.
Qualifiers
ACE qualifiers run at a range of venues across the UK and are open to all – you do not even need to be a member of BE to take part in the qualifiers. Qualifying legs offer you the chance to pick up a coveted qualifying ticket for the Championship Finals – offering a fabulous four-day celebration of ACE competition, set to be held next spring at the stunning Aintree Equestrian Centre in Liverpool.
It is easy to get involved and riders compete in their cross country kit, including cross country colours, to take on a course of show jumps followed by a simulated cross country course of knock-down fences.
Classes are split into two age ranges, seniors and under 18s (U18). While the qualifiers will see all age groups compete together, the Championship Final will see the two age categories split. Those competing in the U18 classes are not to have attained their 18th birthday on or before the date of the Championships.
Try your hand at Bates Arena Eventing
Arena Eventing is a two-phase competition run at 80, 90, 100, 100Open where riders can qualify for the Bates Arena Eventing Championships to be held at Aston Le Walls Eventing Centre on Sunday 25 February 2024 (if entries allow classes may also run on Saturday 24 February).
Qualifiers run at a range of venues across the UK and are open to both BE Members and non-members. The event is incredibly exciting with competitors first completing a round of show jumps immediately followed by a cross country course. Arena Eventing is the perfect pre-season competition, providing both show jumping practice and training over some of the technical elements of cross country, all on an arena surface during the winter months.
